Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Yesterday I have acquired some original sealed boxes with NOS GZ34s - a repair shop clearing out some old spares.Boxes and valves are labeled "Pope GZ34 Made in Holland".
The boxes are yellow/blue with star, tube and wave designs, and 'Pope' logos in red.
The bulb has some numbers etched in - at the side adjacent to pin 4:
- first row 'f32'
- second row 'B7H2' (maybe '87H2')The valves look very similar to one very old Mullard GZ34 I had in the spares box - having a flat top bulb.
I think the Valves are Philips - but I have no 'key' to verify this via the etched-in manufacturer code.
I know that there have been some discussions on the topic in some newsgroups before, but cannot quite recall the heading - so accept my apologies if I am asking something obvious.
Any expert opinion coming forward would be greatly appreciated...
