The Fisher 80AZ worth every penny to restore it, this is an excellent amplifier, when use with the high quality 6L6 type tube. My friend have recommended the Sovtek 5881 to me last year. Sounds really well matched with this amplifier. I consider the Fisher 50AZ is a better amplifier compare to marantz 2. However, I like the Quad 2 better than both (Marantz 2 and Fisher 80AZ), especially mated with the TAD TSM-300. But still the fisher 80AZ is a very, very good amplifier. High end a little bit roll off though, if not it will be completely wipe the Marantz 2 out.
