I just bought a tube tester and wanted to check the results on another machine. I remember when many stores had a tube tester. Man, did I get a rude awaking. I got questions on what are you doing with those???(tubes). Most said they had not had a tube tester for many years. At one repair shop the guy that waited on me said no tester but I can get you the tube for $110. (6V4). Funny, when I walked in his shop he was on the phone with a customer and quoted him/her $110. Must be his standard fee. Just thought the older members would get a kick out of my day.
