Nice summation Sondek. I have a Tjoeb, although I haven't listened to it in a bit, but it's not a bad player. I've added an IEC chassis connector to my unit and lowered the OUTPUT voltage on the Marantz CD-38 tube player to 2.0vac. This adds a bit of weight to the lower end that you might enjoy. The job is quite easy and another benefit is a bit more clarity and definition during complex orchestral passages that can usually seem murky and ill defined with the standard setup.I'm running a pair of Siemens early '60s Falcon Labeled 6DJ8s in my Blue Circle BC-3.1 preamp, but I wasn't aware that they placed the logo on their 7308 tubes. Do these have gold pins? Just curious. Where did you get these from? I have a couple of pair from the late '70s E. German (???) connection, but would like to get some of the earlier W. German 7308s one day.
