You still need quality blades to get a good shave.

I finally stopped buying Sovteks, JJ's and EH 6922 tubes.

I have a second set of 6922's to be delivered tomorrow for my preamp.

I wonder if power amplifier driver tubes make much of a difference? Mine uses a pair of 12AU7.
