Personally, though I appreciate short-plate Heerlen Philips and Blackburn/Mullard ECC83, I don't find them very appealing. I'd much rather have Valvo/Hamburg instead. But comparing them to early GE "Ken-Rad" 12AX7, for instance, and they're all kind of congested.
