6X4 are only a few bucks each (about $10 or less on auction site); have you only got one? Have you got a schematic for the unit and a DVOM? Check the voltages one channel to the other to see if there is an anomaly on the humming one to track down the fault. It is unlikely that the rectifier would create a hum in only one channel.
