During my career, I worked with stage lighting fixtures that used Quartz and Halogen lamps. When replacing lamps, you wear gloves or wipe them with alcohol if you do touch them.This is because they run white-hot, and fingerprint oils on the glass will create a hot spot, causing premature failure.
Tubes don't run anywhere near that hot.
