I always drooled over any of the Vandy or Acoustat speakers when they came out.
I didn't know what I was getting into at the time, but about 5 or so years ago, a store owner/friend asked me to rebuild a couple of mono power amps using upgrade kits.
For sure I said, because then I would get to try them.
Turned out they were Acoustat Servos.
Because I knew I couldn't audition, I dawdled and ending up returning them.Then I saw the speakers/cabinets at the store. OMG they were huge and not the ones I thought at first. No wonder the amps and cartons of tubes/parts upgrades intimidated me!
