Welcome to Audio Asylum.
I purchased a new Counterpoint SA3 in the 80's, then upgraded to the SA5. I am happy to say it has never left my system.
The SA5 and SA5.1 are almost identical, with SA5.1 being slightly newer.
Both versions came with 6DJ8 tubes. The Counterpoint branded tubes in my preamp were made by Mullard.
6922 is the more rugged version of the 6DJ8. If you want to go that route, and purchase new production tubes, I would whole-heartedly agree with the others to go with either the 6922 Gold Lion or JJ gold pins. The Electro-Harmonix 6922 is a quiet and rugged tube, but very flat sounding to me. (Or perhaps neutral would be the kinder word.)
Cheers!
Jonesy
