These are your opinions, and you're entitled to them, but what do they have to do with my original question? Have you even tried or heard the Raytheon USA Black Plates that you just dismissed as unworthy? I just wanted to find out if there are differences in the sound between the Japanese and USA versions. The ones that I own have lasted far, far longer than 18 months and sound very, very good. They don't cost $200 to $350 a pair either.
