Please save your money........, say Japanese versions are Hitachi, whom bought out Raytheon during the mid 60s, and having owned other Japanese makes from the likes of TEN Kobe | NEC ( set up by Western Electric during the late 40s ) | Toshiba | Matashita(? Aka Japanese Mullard ) which are remarkable sounding tubes in their own rights.
All that to say Hitachi tubes on a whole from this period, sounded rather hollow sounding throughout. Raytheon on its own......., let's just say to my senses is well behind brands like RCA NOS 1950-55 Long Black Carbonized Plates | Sq Getter | Sylvania LBP | Westinghouse from the same period are all outstanding, as are the Ken-Rad's made between 1947-49, provided one can find quiet ones that is?.
