I think it took it to a whole other level.

Only way to really find out is to try it.

I'm not clear about how one specs the tubes and, possibly, the amp is using he tube in a low gain setup, I don't know.

I do know that the tube has been there for a long time now, since I got the amp, so shy of twenty years.
