UK made Ediswan tubes are rare in the USA. As they were manufactured by the English-based Thorn group they lack etched Philips codes.

Does anyone know how to ID an Ediswan tube? All details would be useful and would aid in distinguishing legit Ediswan tubes from fakes that are labeled Ediswan. And how to determine manufacture dates?

Should it matter my interest pertains mostly to small signal tubes such as used in preamps. Thank you for any information!
