The Music machine needed an audio transformer at 9000 to 10000 ohms. I used parallel 6V6 or 5300 ohm. Below 8000 ohm as in his first design the sound was a little muddy as mentioned in 6Moons review. 6 moons was nice and said it cleared up after 30 minutes or so.Second, his splitter (forgot tube type) was substandard. I went with Raytheon USA 6CG7. With the high ohm audio transformer and 6CG7 it was a superior amp and capable of easily determining different 6V6s. RCA 6V6 metal sounded awful. Sylvania 6V6G were good as were early Sylvania 7C5.
I advised Eric Kingsbury of my changes. He went with 10000 ohm Silk audio transformers and I believed changed the splitter to a 5965.
