I think you could save yourself a lot if not most of your budget by just tweaking what you have. Room treatments, component isolation and proper cabling are just a few examples. Most tweaks/cables are a try before you buy proposition. As an example....putting Stillpoint Ultra Mini's ($375) under my Latino ST 70 was somewhat of a revelation and a clear system upgrade. If they don't work for you, send them back. If I were to do a component search that would yield the best bang, it would be in the source component arena....not amplification.
