Let me rephrase that

If you had about $5000-6000 what would you get?

I have a Conrad Johnson classic 2Se preamp that I could use on an amp.

Or look into integrated amps?

I was thinking of something that has a nice sound similar to the Sherwood. I'm saying I want something on the smooth side for classical music at normal levels. Detail, dynamics but smooth.

I was thinking of either a Cary, restoring a HK or still possibly the Mc275.

So what I'm saying here is I'm kinda lost with cash in hand.
