Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Hi All,
I've added a new tool to my kit that I can't believe I've gone all these years without - a Hama fiberglass "scratch brush", for cleaning contacts.
This little beauty costs very little, and effortlessly cleans corrosion off of tube pins, speaker terminals, RCA jacks, screw heads, battery terminals, you name it.
You do need to be careful about the dust it generates, fiberglass isn't all that lung friendly. However, this thing uses no solvents at all and makes very quick work of oxidized connections.
There are also several other brands of similar product. If you don't have one of these in your kit yet, get one now and like me, you'll wonder what in the hell you did without one for all this time.
Cheers!
