A couple notes... first the only currently available 7189 is the EL84M that is branded Sovtek. It is the current version of the 6P14P-EB - it's an excellent choice, and is readily available in matched quads which you need. NOS is pretty much unobtanium, especially if you need PROPERLY matched sets.

Second, the "RCA" GZ34 is not really an RCA - IIRC RCA did not make a GZ34, so I suspect it is a Sylvania - which is a fine tube. If you want a spare, the Genalex U77 reissues are really good, and very reliable. IMHO there is no need to overpay for scarce Mullard/Amperex stuff anymore. I may have a single Sylvania 5AR4/GZ34 around though, drop me a note if you like.

Third, I have only a couple single 7199s, so I'm no help there, sorry. Eli's post is spot on BTW.
