RE: Vincent SV236MKII tube rolling suggestions


slippers - thank you for your thoughts! I would think your Vincent gear would have a similar sound signature, so it is great to hear that the right tubes will make an improvement.I would like to find something nos if used versions end up working. I was a bit hesitant purchasing used but without really knowing how a particular tube will sound one could be spending money needlessly. I have to imagine as you found that at some point the right combination should allow one to bypass the tone controls. I will keep you posted on the results!
