Do you have a modern tube that can hold up to the abuse like these tubes could?
I wasn't meaning to argue with you, it is just that when these amps are played in anger they are pretty hard on tubes. The 300PS is just as hard on its 4 output tubes as the 400PS is on its six and uses basically the same output circuit, just with a 6L6GC upgrade to handle the additional grid current. Youch.
