A big trick is finding output tubes that don't go pyrotechnic at 700v and 150mA. Even in the day these were "special" tubes that were specifically graded by Fender. That voltage is also hard on parts. The amp is almost completely class B, so at idle you kind of forget what a crazy beast it is.
