This stated generalisation doesn't quite apply to Munich manufactured E88CC tubes made during the period from mid 1965 to the end of 1965 with the 3-lined A-phi code stamped onto the aluminium clad inside the tube's glass envelope. These tubes are commonly found relabelled as RCA and are just as good as the earlier revision 1960 to mid 1965 vintage with the codes etched outside on the glass envelope.
