The infomation is included in the data sheet with each tube. Something that most British made GEC/MOV Gold Lions came with. BTW... I agree with Mike, the gray glass KT-66's are absolutely one of the best output tubes ever made. Esp at this power range.
Some KT-66 came with a four-digit number stamped on the plates. Like:
"8011" = 1980, 11th week.
But, not all KT-66 made had this dating.
Compared to RCA black plate 6L6GC the KT-66 really has an agressive tone with a very clean bass and high end. Maybe, not the rich harmonic of the RCA. Both are excellent tubes, when you can find a good NOS or high testing, quiet pull.
The KT-66 kinda reminds me of the original regular-based Sylvania 7591A. If you are familiar with that tube. With a better midrange than the 7591A (if it's a gray glass).
