I believe that the amp shorted is pretty much dead silent. I've looked and looked for a ground loop. It has to be some mistake that for whatever reason I never catch.
Great to know about the Tungsols. I have SED's and when in use sometimes I feel that they can be a bit on the smooth side where I'd like to try something with some more attack.
