I have Prologue Six, mono powers.
I would suggest, forget the 12AX7 and try:
GE 5751 Triple Mica 5 Stars Black Plates
Sylvania 5751 Gold Brand Triple Mica GREY Plates Gold Pins(best/more expensive)
Together with:
RCA Clear Top (side getter) 12AU7 - easy to find/ unexpensive / nice sound!
Amperex 7316 - expensive / not so easy to find / "similar" to RCA but more refined sound
RFT 12AU7 - easy to find / unexpensive / "sharp" sound, even a bit britle, too much for some systems, just the sparkle you need in more muddy systems.
