I buy NOS '50s Sylvania 6SN7 for $15 to $20 each. Some may have Motorola labels & 312 Sylvania manufacturing code in the base. The Y plate Sylvania are easy to spot and no other manufacture built a Y plate design.

Brimar CV4004 are very good 12AX7s, but a pair can cost $100. Inexpensive Sovtek 12AX7LPS are the bargain at $10-12 each, but are not a Brimar. The 12AX7LPS sounds better than some vintage NOS.
