In my experiance,the Telefunken 12AX7 has a real nice mid-range but
is lacking in bass drive.I prefer the more punchy sound of the GE12AX7.
The GE is a little more edgy in the mids and on top than the Telefunken
but,I can't live without the drive of the GE.I guess that this is just my personal taste.Oh yeah.......the GE 12AX7 tubes go for around$10.00.The Telefunken 12AX7's are way overpriced IMO!
