Thanks Jim. I guess the lower impedance was just fine for HK. The load for for 7581's in PP ab2 is lower than 6L6GC, 5881 or KT66 according to the data sheets. So that makes sense. Since I don't plan on running 7581's and don't think I will find any actual HK transformers, I will look at some quality iron in the 5k - 6.6k range.
If you are anyone else have any personal recommendations or know of something that may be a nice fit, please share. Thanks. I wouldn't mind recycling some older iron, or getting some nice Magnequest.
