I don't know...I've tested a lot of tubes in the past few years. I happened to notice that Mullard & Amperex tubes that usually flash on start-up, don't flash as brightly when they are weak. I can't say that with absolute certainty, but I did notice it some time ago, to be fairly consistently true. Have you tested them?
