During initial testing, there was no top mica support. With the design of the triodes I can understand why they may vibrate a bit more than a conventional design.They added a top mica support in the recent design. It seems to have made a difference.
That said, I've got some VERY microphonic tubes in another headphone amp right next to the ASL. I can hear myself turning the volume knob on those. With the TechTube in the ASL, that is definitely not the case. I've had worse 5751s.
(Note, I also have a plain-old ASL MG Head; the DT OTL MkIII is quite an improvement. As you said, though, the 12AX7/5751 makes or breaks this amp.)
As for quantities, I'm not sure. I want to get some more when they're available; but I will say that before I ordered, they were out of stock, (last week) and then they weren't. So they seem to be producing more daily.
