The V35 was discontinued recently. Ibitchabout it every now and then.It is a "coincidence" that there are KR tubes available in every one of Welborne's kits ('cept the V35) and one of his amps (Apollo) is built around KR tubes. 300B's and 2A3's are common but not as common as the EL-34 (a tube that KR does not make a variant). It certainly seems that Welborne labs makes a nice vehicle for KR tubes. Customers of Welborne labs do have the option of different brands of tubes in their kits and Welborne does sell different brands individually. However, Welborne is the sole distributor of KR tubes in the U.S.
The amplifier is a picture from VSAC '98. A full explanation of its creation is at the link below. I posted the picture because Sherwoods amp reminded me of that particular beast.
