Hi,
I have just removed my 1943 Tungsol round plate JAN VT-231s - which I paid 400 USD for because I was told that they were the best of the best.
I have replaced them with the black base 1960 Russian 6H8C and I can honestly that my sound now has a much much fuller Bass, more detail and a bigger soundstage. I am even hearing things that I have never heard before and all for 75USD so what must the metal base be like - can anyone help or point me in the direction of three because these black base are fantastic
Bye the way I am 59 years old been around music all my life had jst about everything out there and I am not on drugs!
Paul
