RE: These are Raytheons

The tubes shown in the Asylum classified listing picture are CBS, with the type etched on the enveloped and a dot pattern like GE used, black raised center rib style plates, and filament and plate shields. Tung Sol made a tube that LOOKED just like this tube, but had Tung Sol markings. It looks so similar to the CBS, and both were made around the same time. Maybe there was some component or design licensing or sharing between Tung Sol and CBS? Tung Sol made a 6CG7 that looked identical to these black plate tubes, but with gray plates (I don't see any indication that these had a CBS connection). There're also some cool-looking 3-mica black and gray plate tubes using this raised center rib plate style, but this getting further off-story...

Back to the tubes in question, I can't tell definitively from the eBay listing picture whether these are Raytheon-made 6CG7s. All the Raytheon-made 6CG7s had black, flat, ladder type plates, which are very different from the tubes pictured in the Raytheon-actually-CBS 6CG7 Asylum classified ad. The Raytheon tubes have a plate shield, but don't have filament shields. They can be O- or D-getter ring styles, with the wire supporting the getter ring canted at an angle. The eBay listing tubes have the short-finished tips that are typical of Raytheon-made small/signal tubes. What's the branding on the eBay tubes. I've seen it many times before, but I don't recall what it is at the moment. I don't remember seeing third-party branded Raytheon-made tubes.
