RE: Great reliability IME

I find the 35 watt maximum plate dissipation for the original GL KT88's a little surprising. I'm not doubting what you say, just expressing my surprise because, the listed maximum plate dissipation for 6550's is listed in GE's Essential Characteristics as well as VTL's book as 42 watts. As far as I know, this is still the correct dissipation for all 6550's, both new manufacture and old. I was always under the impression that KT88's were a bit more robust that 6550's, hence the surprise.
