fishboat, hi - or should I say, Ahoy. The pin outs of the types you mention are all RETMA 9A. That is to say the internal elements (cathode, heaters, anode, control grid, heater center tap) come out of the tubes at the same pin locations. However, characteristics of each are not equivalent at all. While you may not cause tube failure by playing "musical chairs" with these types the circuit you plug them into will suffer accordingly - gross distortion, too high plate dissipation, not enough current through the tube, too much current through the tube, and so on. Go to Duncan Amps web site and look up the characteristics of each type. Pay attention to plate current in mA and the amplification factor.
