I agree that McShane is the first try. There's no doubt that he tests more rigorously and at conditions more closely approximating actual operating points than the eBay bulk guys. Plus, he's a right bloke.
But.
Last time I talked to him, he didn't feel like he could supply good quads of this device; demand too low, he can't keep the stock necessary. Mind, to make up nice 1% quads without big waste, you got to test from a stock of at least a hundred tubes, maybe two hundred. At the time, the demand just wasn't high enough in this type for him to keep that kind of stock. Another plus in dealing with McShane; if he can't responsibly meet your qualification, he'll say so, rather than sending you any old four tubes.
Last four quads I got were from a very good eBay vendor, jspht8338, link below. He's also a straight guy; though he doesn't have Jim's expertise, he does have a lot of volume.
Ex Eli, definitely try McShane first.
