I too have a TAD60. About three months or so ago I sent my amp back to Paul for an upgrade. The upgrade included a new 1000 amp bias supply upgrade. He rearranges the bias supply, installs fresh capacitors. I think he did a few other things, but not certain. He also upgraged the look by installing a three inch wide metal strip to the top front of the amp. Before the amp had a little hum when I put my ear next to the speaker (90db). When the amp was upgraded there was no hum at all. You may want to shoot Paul an e-mail about this hum. I use 12ax7s and have no hum issues.
