Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
OK, Friday I got my Mullards into my Cary's and, prior to burn-in, yes, I notice a definite improvement in sound quality over the original 5R4WGB's.However, these GZ34's burn considerably brighter than the old Cetron's -- even in simple Stand-By mode!
Is this normal?
I mean, of all the tubes I'm running (e.g., 6SL7, 6SN7, 12AU7, 12AX7, WE300B), these are the brightest burning -- by a great margin.
If you assure me that this is normal -- I shall not worry ;)
What do you think?
Best Regards,mds
