The Japanese seemed to work very well in an AI Modulus 2D. I found them as good as anything out there, much better than Amperex. The GE seem to be available in several versions. Some were made in G.B., which may be Mullards. Those would be good.
Plug them in and try them. Do not let your opinion of something be changed by others.
