Anyone using either Totem Arros or Sttafs with a tube amp? Any feedback?
I have a 25 wpc integrated tube amp and I'd like to try out both speakers. The Sttaf is slightly more efficient and the nominal impedance is better at 8 ohms. However, I'm getting mixed info. Totem themselves tell me my amp may be too low-powered to take advantage of "all the dynamics our speakers are capable of." In a small room, they say, it might work. Elsewhere on their website, on the other hand, they say the idea that their speakers are hard to drive is a myth, and talk about running the Arros w/ a 20 wpc (solid state?) amp. My Anthem has posts for both 4 and 8 ohm speakers (I'm driving 4 ohm speakers now), but 8 ohm speakers would obvioulsy be ideal.
