Static vs. dynamic matching

212.153.190.2

Some dealers match their tubes using static matching: transconductance is measured at one given bias setting. Other dealers use dynamic matching: transconductance is measured over the whole range from zero maximum bias. Dynamic matching is more tedious but very useful for obtaining real matched pairs, quartets, sextets and so on.
