Genelex 6550's in my Sonic Frontiers power 1 amp!

Hi all: A good friend of mine has come across a (slightly used, low hrs.) matched quad of Genelex 6550 power output tubes he is going to sell me . He quotes me saying "These are the Rolls-Royce of 6550's".... He states they are mildly used, with a little wear on tube walls, but getters are shiny and tubes test as new. Can you all answer me 2 questions:

1.) Are these going to blow away my Svetlana 6550-c's?....
2.) What identifying characteristics do they have that prove authenticity ( us tube-o-philes sometimes get paranoid with all the fakes out there), and what is a fair price for both of us? (sorry, thats 3 questions) thanks, audioman
