Has anyone tried a 5751 in a Conrad-Johnson MV55 in place of the 12AX7? C-J says not to do it ... is that because it will actualkly damage the amp, or just that they don't feel it fits their design parameters. (I have an ARC SP9 with lots of gain, so a lower gain would not be a problem.)Don
