well, after some research, but some things still unanswered and there's more to come!- Most commercial designs leave all tubes open, without screens; the old tube stuff I remember always had small-signal tubes screened. Do I need those screens, really? Or, the opposite, wouldn't a metal screen cause overheating?
- Does it make any sense to power heaters with regulated DC rather than AC? In the old designs, I frequently see DC heater biasing to kill heater-cathode AC currents, would I need anything like with DC powered heater?
- Any good feedback on Bartolucci transformers? that's the nearest source to me.
