Negative Feedback - Speaker Hiss?

I have removed the NFB leads from my Jolida 302b and am enjoying greater clarity, but am also hearing a lot of his and increased levels of 60 hz hum from my speakers. I have Klipsch speakers and would typically hear some amount of hiss when close to the speaker, but by removing the NFB and thus increasing the gain (I assume), the hiss has also increased to the point that I can hear it from my listening chair...the amp is in triode mode. Any help with this would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
