I was kind of window-shopping last week when I heard this EL34 tube power
monoblocks (from Germany, the dealer said) playing Thiel 1.5 speakers.
The music was Anne-Sophie Mutter's Carmen stuff on CD and the violin sound
was truly fantastic -- honey-dripping with every fine details beautifully
coming alive. Came back home but, but after a week, I still can't forget
the sweet sweet sound. The dealer's price was USD3200.00. My speaker is
Ruark Crusader II. Should I buy the Kebschull? Has anyone heard about this
amp maker? I tried but failed to find anything about them on the web.
I donÂ¡Â¯t remember the model name but they had four EL34s on each mono
block. By the way, the preamp used at the listening session was
Musical Design SP-2. Thank you for the comments.
