I heard the largest amp with Monitor Audio floor standers and Quad 22Ls at RMAF and they both sounded good. I also heard them on some other speakers....in the Denver area, but now I have drawn a blank.

What one hears from a system is so persnonal. I have listened to the same speakers in the same room at the same time with other people and have sometimes come to exactly opposite conclusions.

Here's a guy who says Dynaudios sound great with this amp. And other who says Quad 12L. There couldn't be more different sounds!

I would think Vandersteens would be a great match.
