Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Hi folks,
I recently received some poorly packed EL84s off of eBay, which resulted in three of the four cracking. There are no obvious signs of damage to the fourth tube; can it be used safely? Is there any risk to the amp from a defective tube, such as a blown transformer, or is the risk limited to the tube itself?
Thank you!!!
