Hi. I've never been on here before, but someone told me it was a good place to get information. I just became the owner of two Heathkit EA-2 monoblocks. I hooked them up and they played and actually sounded pretty good, except they both hummed like crazy. Now, don't make fun of me because I'm a girl, but if I turn the volume down, they still hum. I remember someone telling me once that if you could turn the hum down it was one thing, and if you couldn't, it was another. Could someone out there explain what's going on with these EA-2s? I have a neighbor who solders. Thanks in advance.
